Spatial analysis of wetland presence & eBird data | USA (2021)

Worked with a large (500+ GB) dataset in R. Subsetted, cleaned, and mined the data for an analysis of the bird species around Tewaukon National Wildlife Refuge, North Dakota with landscape metrics. 

Field Research Technician | Colorado, USA (2020)

Hired to work on a research crew studying Flammulated Owls with Dr. Brian Linkhart. Cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic. 

Influence of COVID-19 on the movement of people | Colorado, USA (2020)

Initiated and created a GIS project displaying spatial and temporal data on how COVID-19 has influenced daily mobility via Apple Maps direction requests and stay-at-home orders. view project

Field Research Technician & Educator | Manabí, Ecuador (2020)

Through the Ceiba Foundation for Tropical Conservation, surveyed the costal dry forest via camera traps, collected baseline data on ghost crabs for a study on human impacts on marine ecosystems, helped build a biological corridor, and educated local children on sustainability. 

Yampa & Little Snake River Fish Research | Colorado, USA (2019-2020)

Collected data via seine nets & backpack electrofishing on fish populations. Investigated the impact of daily water discharge on native & non-native populations. view project

Human Anatomy Lab Colorado, USA (2018-2021)

3 years of experience in a human anatomy lab dissecting multiple male and female human cadavers. 

Freshwater Fish Monitoring | Tasman District, New Zealand (2017)

Surveyed the reproductive success of Galaxias maculatus with the Tasman District Council.

Invasive Mammal Management | Tasman, New Zealand (2017)

Checked, cleared, and set vector, DOC 200 stoat, and Master Kill possum traps to aid in New Zealand's invasive mammal removal program.

Multnomah County Sheriff's Office Search & Rescue Officer | Oregon, USA (2012-2019)

Oregon State Sheriff's Association (OSSA) Type 2 Searcher. Responded to natural disasters, provided assistance at crime scenes, performed body recoveries, and searched for missing persons. Taught wilderness medical response, advanced navigation, survival skills, and search techniques to new recruits. Elected to roles of increasing responsibility: Ground Searcher, Assistant Team Leader, Team Leader, Field Team Leader, President.

Raised and trained a 4-month shelter dog to Pet Dog Ambassador Level 1, NACSW nose work basics, and AKC basic agility.
